In its ongoing effort to combat violence against women and strengthen the support network in the state of Espírito Santo, the Instituto Avante Socialin partnership with the Polinorte Consortium, presents the newest shelter for women in situations of violence: Casa Ester. This confidential and long-term space emerges as an essential project to expand and strengthen the protection of women.
To mark this important event, a “Discussion Circle on Violence against Women: the challenges of implementing the protective measures of the Maria da Penha Law” was held at the inauguration of Casa Ester. The event was held on October 6, Friday, at 2 pm, in the Auditorium of Faculdade Multivix Serra, located at Rua Barão do Rio Branco, 120, in the Colina de Laranjeiras neighborhood, in Serra.
