Description
Welcome, strengthen and transform lives.
CRAM is a space for shelter, guidance and protection aimed exclusively at women in situations of violence. Through specialized psychosocial and legal assistance, the project works to break the cycle of domestic violence, promote citizenship and guarantee women's rights.
A safe space to start over
With a committed and qualified team, CRAM offers humanized, respectful and confidential care. The focus is on strengthening self-esteem, promoting autonomy and helping each woman regain control over her own story.
Currently, around 80 women per month receive direct support, in actions that range from qualified listening to referral to the protection network and opportunities for a fresh start.
What do we offer?
- Individual and group psychological support
- Legal guidance on rights and protective measures
- Personalized psychosocial support
- Support for enrollment in courses and income generation opportunities
- Coordination with the Municipal Women's Protection Network, Women's Police Station, Maria da Penha Patrol and other institutional partners
Challenges we face
Many women still cannot ask for help. Fear, emotional dependence, lack of knowledge of their rights and social stigma are real barriers. Overcoming this silence is our greatest challenge — and also our greatest motivation.
Stories that inspire
Among so many stories of courage, we highlight the story of a 67-year-old woman who, after years of suffering domestic violence, found support at CRAM to change her path. Today, with renewed self-esteem and studying modeling, she is rebuilding her life with dignity, autonomy and freedom.
How can you support?
If you are a psychologist, therapist or psychiatrist, you can volunteer to provide free services. Your support could mean the beginning of a new life for a woman who needs help to break the cycle of violence.
Access method
- Spontaneous demand;
- By referral from the social assistance network.
CRAM – For a life without violence, with more justice, freedom and dignity for all women.
