What is my organization's commitment to protecting personal data?
The proper functioning of an Ombudsman Channel values the confidentiality of all information obtained. We reiterate that the purpose of the channel is to investigate possible unethical behavior and, in this way, ensure a safe and professional environment for the expression of information, with guaranteed anonymity and confidentiality.
Therefore, all information is protected and any personal data provided will be treated in accordance with current legislation (LGPD – General Data Protection Law).

Who is the Person in Charge/DPO?
The Data Protection Officer (DPO), as determined by the General Personal Data Protection Law, is the professional that Controllers must appoint as responsible for data processing in companies and/or public bodies, ensuring compliance with the legislation.
The activities of the Officer/DPO, according to article 41, §2 of the law, consist of:
I – accept complaints and communications from holders, provide clarifications and take measures;
III – guide the entity’s employees and contractors regarding the practices to be adopted in relation to the protection of personal data;

IV – perform other duties determined by the controller or established in complementary standards.

According to the law, personal data is considered to be any information relating to an identified or identifiable individual. For example: a name, an identification number or one or more specific elements of their physical, physiological, psychological, economic, cultural or social identity.
The purpose of the channel is not to obtain personal information, however, due to the nature of the complaint, this may happen. In this case, all information will be protected and treated in accordance with the LGPD.
What will be done with my report and when will it be deleted?
Report information will be stored indefinitely for the purpose of carrying out the investigation and conclusion process of the case.

What information should I record in my report?
You must include in your report all the information necessary for the objective investigation of the case, detailing the situation, when, how and where it occurred, and who the people involved are. In addition, information about witnesses and evidence/proof that can be obtained is valuable and must be reported.
You should not include in your report any details about your personal life or those involved (such as details about health status, sexual orientation, religious choice, among others), unless such information is necessary for understanding and investigating the case.
What are my rights?
– Right to be deleted: If you wish, you may request that your personal information be physically and logically deleted from the Channel’s databases. If you wish to request the deletion of information about any record you have made, please access the “Follow up on report” field on this website, provide your protocol and a summary of the situation you wish to delete.

We reiterate that the information registered with the Ombudsman's Office is received, verified and analyzed in an impartial, confidential manner and without conflicts of interest. Several precautions are taken to preserve the privacy of whistleblowers and those reported.

Your duty is to use this channel in good faith and record true information, presented with a wealth of detail and supported by evidence, whenever possible, to contribute to our Avante Social way of doing everything right, following the recommendations of our Integrity plan and Code of Ethics and Conduct Manual.
Who will have access to my report and my data?
The information recorded in the channel is received by the Compliance Sector, ensuring absolute confidentiality and the appropriate handling of each situation by your organization's senior management, without conflicts of interest.
Avante Social guarantees your confidentiality, so that the complaint is processed while preserving your identity. Exclusively in the event of detection of something illegal, your data may be communicated to third parties (judges and courts, security forces or public administration), for the strict protection of public interests.
